FROM THE DESERT TO THE RAINFOREST
EXHIBITION SUMMARY
FROM THE DESERT TO THE RAINFOREST
A Living Sculptural Garden
Welcome to a living sculptural garden where two of Earth’s most contrasting environments meet.
From the Desert to the Rainforest brings together glass, light, plants, color, and texture in an immersive landscape that moves from the restrained forms of the desert to the lush abundance of the rainforest.
Although these environments seem worlds apart, they share unexpected similarities: organic forms, shifting textures, intense color, movement, and the constant transformation of light.
The glass sculptures draw inspiration from both landscapes. Their translucent surfaces capture and redirect light, allowing color, reflection, and shadow to become part of the surrounding environment. The sculptures are not simply placed within the garden. They become part of it.
This is not a recreation of either landscape. It is an imagined one.
As you move through the garden, forms and textures begin to echo one another. A shape reminiscent of a desert cactus may suggest a tropical leaf. Weathered earth may resemble the surface of a rainforest plant. Colors shift and overlap, revealing connections between environments that initially appear completely opposite.
The result is a landscape where art and nature become inseparable.
AN EVOLVING GARDEN
But this garden is not meant to remain exactly as you see it today.
The sculptures within From the Desert to the Rainforest are available individually, while the complete garden may also be acquired as a single immersive installation.
Collectors may:
Acquire the Complete Garden
Acquire the installation as a whole and bring the garden into a new space.
Acquire an Individual Sculpture
Select a sculpture from the garden to become part of your own collection.
Create Your Own Garden
Work with Winkel Gallery to create a custom configuration using sculptures from the exhibition.
As sculptures find new homes, new works will emerge within the garden. One sculpture may disappear from the landscape, only for another to take its place.
The landscape remains. The garden continues to grow.
