April Happenings – Monthly Newsletter
We’re a little late with this month’s newsletter, but it’s for good reason — we’ve been busy refreshing the gallery layout, creating new art, and wrapping up recent commissioned paintings. Still, we didn’t want to let the month end without sharing some updates with you.
One update: the back wall has been transformed into a gallery-style display featuring pieces from all of our artists. It’s a great visual that shows how everyone’s work comes together in a fun and unique way.
✨ SOME NEW ARRIVALS CURRENTLY ON VIEW
Although this piece sold the day we received it, we still wanted to share it with you — it’s currently hanging in the gallery and will remain on view for the next few months before it ships out.

WELCOME CASEY WHITE
We also want to take a moment to introduce a new artist to Winkel Gallery: Casey White. You might remember Casey from her internship with us last summer—she was a fantastic addition to the team. She recently graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art, and after her senior show in two weeks, her work will become a permanent part of the gallery.
Casey White is a printmaking artist whose work merges storytelling, imagination, and personal experience into vibrant, character-driven narratives. Read her full bio and learn more about her & her work.
BEYOND THE GALLERY
✨ Introducing Art Consulting: A New Service from Winkel Gallery
We’re excited to announce the expansion of our services to include Art Consulting!
Consulting has always been a part of what we do at Winkel Gallery, often tied to our commissioned projects, custom framing, and installation work. Every time we guide a project from concept to completion, we’re actively consulting — helping clients refine their vision, select artists, and ensure the final work aligns perfectly with their needs.
Now, we’re expanding this service beyond our own walls. With our extensive network of artists, we can assist collectors in finding any style of artwork they’re looking for — whether it’s from our gallery or elsewhere. Over the years, we’ve built a reputation for being honest, upfront, and deeply knowledgeable, and our collectors trust us to guide them toward the right pieces.
Our goal is simple: to help you find the perfect work of art, no matter where it comes from.
Below are a few examples of past projects.
✨ BOOK RECOMMENDATION
All the Beauty in the World by Patrick Bringley
All the Beauty in the World by Patrick Bringley is a book about perspective. Every time I visit a museum, I can't help but notice the staff and guards quietly keeping watch—and I often find myself wondering what it's like for them. I’ve even had conversations with guards about their experience, so this book immediately caught my interest.
Bringley left a job at The New Yorker after his brother passed away and ended up working as a guard at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. What was meant to be a temporary escape turned into ten years of observing the art, the visitors, and the quiet rhythms of museum life. The book offers a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like to spend your days surrounded by some of the world’s greatest art—not as a curator or critic, but as someone standing still, watching it all unfold.
It’s thoughtful and sincere, and while it’s not overly sentimental, it makes you think about how we experience art, and how much we can miss when we’re rushing through.
